Heartland Alliance International is pleased to announce a new strategic partnership with Building Markets aimed at promoting, strengthening, and expanding business opportunities for migrant entrepreneurs, returnees, and host communities in Colombia.
This partnership reflects both organizations shared commitment to closing gaps, fostering economic opportunities, and generating sustainable business models by connecting small businesses led by migrants to markets, support networks, and real prospects for growth.
What will we achieve together?
Through technology platforms, specialized training, mentoring, and business networking events, this alliance will equip more entrepreneurs with the tools they need to access diverse value chains.
Each year, 25 small and medium-sized businesses led by migrants, Colombian returnees, and host community members will be selected to participate in a comprehensive business development program that includes:
- Specialized business diagnostics
- Practical workshops to strengthen entrepreneurial skills
- Access to an exclusive platform to connect with buyers and suppliers
- Participation in annual networking events and collaborative negotiations
All with one clear goal: to empower migrant entrepreneurs and promote their integration into Colombia’s economic fabric.
